Juan is the perfect skipper for exploring the Basque Coast from the sea. Sailing on a boat like the Pogo 36 is a unique experience. I highly recommend it if you visit San Sebastián, Hondarribia, or any other spot along this coast.
If you want the best day in San Sebastián and on the Basque Country coast, I would highly recommend sailing with Amaina. We sailed with Juan from Hondarribia back down to San Sebastián with a stop in Pasajes for lunch. This is the best way to see the coast and enjoy an amazing day on the ocean. The boat was great, the views were stunning, and we got to spend time in the water. Juan was a pleasure to spend the day with and even taught us more about sailing! One of the highlights of our trip to Spain. If there is one thing you do in San Sebastián this should be it!
We loved sailing with Juan. We went out around 7pm and sailed down the coast to a small neighboring town (Pasaia) and back, taking in the dramatic cliffs and beautiful sunset on the way. Juan has a really nice boat, and he and Jacob are talented sailors who made us feel at ease the whole time. Juan also shared information about San Sebastián and sailing along the way. Highly recommend to anyone hoping to get out on the water while visiting San Sebastián.
