Hiking Natouring is a rural development project located in the municipality of Campezo-Kanpezu, in the Alava Mountains. It is made up of a team with extensive experience in the management and conservation of fauna, flora, natural spaces, nature tourism, journalism, communication, and environmental education. We also carry out activities in Salburua, our “home away from home.”
With more than 25 years of experience working for organizations and companies such as the Alava Provincial Council, the Basque Government, Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council, the Alava Mountain Group, and the Hazi Foundation, our mission is to promote local development and employment, collaborating with groups, businesses, and local governments to create synergies.
We organize and carry out tourism activities such as nature and heritage guiding, interpretation center management, representation at fairs, and stand setup. We draft and prepare tourism and environmental projects, in addition to offering journalism and communication services. We also design customized activities such as courses, talks, and personalized workshops.

Routes and guided tours of Montaña Alavesa and the Izki Natural Park:
Guided tours of Montaña Alavesa are experiences designed to fully explore the natural, historical, and cultural richness of this area of Álava. Each tour is led by local guides, who offer detailed and enriching explanations about the landscapes, fauna, flora, heritage, and cultural elements of the area. These routes not only allow you to discover the beauty of the surroundings but also learn about its ecological and cultural importance. These tours can be taken throughout the year and are designed and organized according to the characteristics of each group and their interests. They can be linear or circular routes of between 4 and 12 kilometers, which can also include visits to various medieval villages, museums, and interpretation centers.
Birding in Izki and Salburua
We are members of Birding Euskadi and partners of SEOBirdlife. We organize birdwatching routes and outings, and conduct fieldwork involving various species such as the middle spotted woodpecker and Bonelli's eagle. We are accredited by the Nature Tourism Sustainability Recognition System within the Natura 2000 Network in the Salburua wetlands and Izki Natural Park.
Bike Birding through Montaña Alavesa:
This activity combines cycling with nature observation (birds, wildlife, and flora), offering a unique experience that blends sport and a connection with the local natural heritage. Through bicycle routes, participants explore different habitats along the Vía Verde del Vasco-Navarro and other natural spaces. During the activity, a specialized guide provides details about the species observed, their habitats, and their behavior, making each tour an opportunity to learn more about the local fauna. This approach promotes active and ecological tourism by using a sustainable means of transportation such as cycling. It is an ideal activity for both birdwatching enthusiasts and people interested in exploring the unique natural environments of the Álava Mountains in a different way.
